Methi Matar Malai
Ingredients
- 2 tsp Ghee/Oil
- 1 tsp Zeera
- 1 big Onion
- 1 bunch Methi/ Fenugreek Leaves
- ½ cup Green Peas (boiled)
- 12 Cashew nuts / Kaju
- 3-4 cloves Garlic
- 2 Green chilli
- ½ “ inch Ginger
- Salt as per taste
- 2 tsp Zaiqa Methi
Matar Masala - 1 ¼ cup Milk
- ½ cup Fresh Cream
Process
- Boil Onion pcs, green chillies, cashewnuts and the ginger for 5 minutes in half cup water. Cool and Grind along with the Garlic, keep aside.
- Seperate blanch methi leaves for 3 mins, drain and squeeze out any remaining water of the leaves. Keep Aside.
- Heat Ghee, add cumin seeds, onion-cashew paste sauté for 3-4 mins.
- Add the methi leaves to this and cook for 2-3 minutes. Then add green peas. Simmer for 2-3 mins.
- Add Salt, Zaiqa Methi Matar Masala, simmer along with Milk for 5 mins
- Finally add cream and simmer for a minute. Serve hot with Naan or roti
